House of Lords Big Day 

On Thursday 22 April, the House of Lords is scheduled to debate the Second Reading of the Civil Partnership Bill and the Report of the Select Committee on Religious Offences (the 'Colville Report'). Please pray that the Civil Partnership Bill is opposed.

Please write to your local peers (click on 'more info' below for a list of peers) and ask them to go to the House of Lords on 22 April. Hull Christian Union banned for being run by Christians 

'Student chiefs at Hull University have threatened to ban a student Christian Union because it doesn't allow non-believers such as atheists to run the CU.'

The CU at Warwick University was faced with a similar dilemma last year, and they decided to leave their Student Union rather than compromise their faith.

'The Government is proposing to introduce a form of “gay marriage”. It plans to allow homosexual couples to register a “civil partnership” at a registry office. Their new legal status will entitle them to the same rights as married couples.'
