Mel Gibson's film: The Passion of Christ - Great tool for evangelism
This is the other side put by Chuck Colson whose organisation, Breakpoint, has poduced an evangelistic guide to give to those seeing the film. The issues are important: the 2nd commandment, the violence, the message behind the film (i.e. is it true to the gospel or Roman Catholic propaganda). I trust these three links (among the many out there on the Web) will assist you in deciding your approach as I'm sure this film will be a topic of conversation with unbelievers and an opportunity for speaking of Christ. If you never see the film (and I am not making a recommendation either way at this point) you can still talk authoratively as you've read the Book - and that is the final authority! -- Phil

Morning after pill given out to students at Mitchell High Scool
It is reported by Sarah Hawkins of SPUC (Society for the Protection of the Unborn Chld) that Mitchell High School, S-o-T, have an on-campus clinic supplying contraceptives to the children, including the morning-after pill. This pill is an abortive (i.e. it does not prevent conception, but destroys the fertilised ovum) and has side effects. Sarah has been in touch with a school in Devon where the governors initially approved this practice in their school only later to discover that they had not been told the whole truth by the 'health' authorities. Apparently school governors can be held responsible for any injuries or damage sustained by the pupils using the pill. This information she is going to make available to all school governors and heads in the area (with Phil's help in printing the material). Please pray for her as there are powerful forces behind these moves - both commercial and (so-called) health agencies.
